Radio Show Debut and My thoughts on Marbury
What’s up Yard?! Its ya boy B-Haywood checking in with you! I’m still in NC working out and getting ready for next season but will be in DC this weekend. I’ve got the debut of my new radio show on WJFK 106.7 “The Fan” (http://www.cbssports.com/local/dc) this Friday night from 7-10 pm ET. For all of you that follow me here on my blog, I would love for yal to tune in and listen to what I have to say. You can also call in at 703.218.5111 and ask me any questions or make comments about the show. I would love to hear what you have to say and have your support on this. I think this will be something fun because I’ve done a lot of TV appearances but never anything like this on live radio. I’m going to have a good time with it and want yal to listen and have a good time with me. It’s going to be a great experience. We’ll be discussing the hottest sports topics of the day. All fans are encouraged to call in and voice their opinions.
Speaking of voicing opinions, it wouldn’t be a B-Haywood blog without me voicing mine! Can anyone answer me this one question? What the HELL is wrong with Stephon Marbury?!!! Over the past week, he’s released some of the strangest and most disturbing videos I’ve ever seen (from his 24 hours of Marbury TV Marathon). In one clip he cries uncontrollably for 5 straight minutes with no shirt on while his homeboy rubs his shoulders – why, I don’t know?! In another clip, he eats Vaseline, claiming his throat is sore and that this would solve the problem. Not to be outdone, he has another clip where he dances to a song called “Barbie Doll!” That was very disturbing. If I was on his team, there’s no way I’m getting undressed in front of him after watching that…
Last but not least, there’s the “Stephon Marbury Dance” clip. The more you watch, the more you want to ask if Steph has been drug tested lately? And if so, did he pass? Will someone who knows Steph please let me know what’s going on and why he’s doing all of this craziness? This guy was once an All-Star with Hall of Fame talent – there’s no way he should be doing these cheap publicity stunts. Only way these clips make sense is if he plans on retiring from the NBA and planning on starring in a VH1 reality TV show… And to close things out, I’ve selected some of my favorite clips for your viewing pleasure:

That has NOTHING to do with NY!!! I was borned & raised in Brooklyn & even if you drank the water from the Hudson, you would not function in that manner. Now, if you dipped the meds in the water...
I blame it on Boston! I mean really - KG was not able to baby sit but so much from the bench...
And as a Barbie doll collector... I'm a little offended! Naw, not really, but the man needs so better friends... Were the videos meant to get out??? Who amongst us (except me of course!) has ----- (pls fill in the blank) has done something that you never intended to leave the confines of the 4 walls?
I still blame Boston... all that damn green... *whew* that man needs an intervention...

I don't think it's drugs but more likely some sort of psychosis. He needs help. Beginning with someone in his camp (maybe shoulder-rubbing homey) stopping him from making a public spectacle of himself. Friends don't let friends post detrimental videos on YouTube.

Ever since he got that BIG HEAD it's been straight cutting off the oxygen supply to his Brain he can only dance to song's that have 10-20 words including the verses and chorus, where's noxzema, breaks out in tears for what could have been, and has just been longing for some male bonding cuz he ain't been a good teammate to anyone since the Wolves.

The Marbury thing is sad. He definitely needs help. If your having mental breakdowns or whatever, don't post them online for all to see bc then you deserve to get ridiculed. But, his behavior has been bizarre for a long time and the reason why he was never as good as he could have been or thinks he still is for that matter.
And, what's with the homo-erotic stuff? If your gay your gay, and that's fine with me, but he is supposedly straight. Maybe that is his current dilemma?

Nothing that Marbury has written on his blog or did in those videos is as disturbing as your unapologetic bigotry. I suggest that you contact Tim Hardaway about the process of counseling that he went through to better understand his hateful attitudes toward the LGBT community and that you follow the same process. A mature and thoughtful person--which you hold yourself out to be on this blog--wouldn't find it necessary to mock a group that's been subjected to serious historical and current discrimination to make a point about some Marbury's odder writings and actions.
To frame the issue another way, I find it remarkable that, just a couple months ago, you called out LeBron for failing to show sufficient respect to others in public. If you want to avoid accusations of hypocrisy, you need to do some apologizing and make some visible effort to right the wrong you committed in this post.
