Eddie Hearn Discusses Taylor vs. Cameron III

During the interview, Hearn discussed the announcement of the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou fight, the Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia situation, and planning for Joe Cordina’s next fight.

Following these points, the Chairman of Matchroom Sport was asked about Taylor vacating the lightweight belts – and how this might affect a potential trilogy fight with Cameron: “I think the fight Katie wants is Chantelle Cameron. We know there’s the Serrano fight, there are other options, but let’s be honest, Cameron One and Cameron 2 were two brilliant events, classic fights.”

He continued: “I think the trilogy would be an incredible fight.”

Hearn added: “Katie has said to us, we would like to fight Chantelle Cameron.“

Towards the end of the interview, he spoke about opening up official talks this week and mentioned May as a potential month for the fight. He also revealed what will please Taylor fans – that there has been progression with Croke Park being the venue for the fight.

On the 135lbs scene, Hearn confirmed he wants to host Caroline Dubois vs. Rhiannon Dixon, but he expects the fight to go to purse bids.

The Matchroom Boxing promoter said on the fight: “I believe he’s gonna do it. One of the greatest wins for British boxing.“

He added confidently: “You’ll see us all jumping over that top rope and celebrating in style.“
