Jared Anderson Next Fight vs. Ryad Merhy

Anderson and Merhy Careers Recapped

Anderson, the fighting pride of Toledo, Ohio, will take on Belgian contender Merhy, which will signal a step up in class for the American, who will be determined to put his recent troubles behind him and remind us all of what an exciting prospect he is.

We will also see a 10-round heavyweight co-feature with big-punching Nigerian Efe Ajagba (19-1, 14 KOs) taking on Guido “The Gladiator” Vianello (12-1-1, 10 KOs). In the televised opener, we will see an eight-round contest between  Robson Conceicao (17-2-1, 8 KOs) and upset-minded Jose Guardado (15-1-1, 5 KOs).

Anderson enjoyed an impressive 2023 in the ring, winning three times, defeating George Arias, Charles Martin and Andriy Rudenko. Merhy will look to cause an upset to follow on from his memorable victory over Olympic gold medalist Tony Yoka in Paris.

Jared Anderon Speaks on His Next Fight

Following a recent training session in Houston, Anderson expressed his happiness with how his career is progressing: “I feel like my career is going in the right direction. The only way is up. But I’m still working like it’s my first day. We’re on the job, so make sure you all stay with the journey. Stay with me.”

Speaking on his upcoming fight, “The Real Big Baby” said: “I have a better IQ than Merhy. You have to have a high IQ to do this. I have one of the best IQs in the heavyweight division. So, make sure you watch the little things. Make sure you watch for the details.”

He continued: “He’s got a beating coming. I always come to entertain. Don’t miss it.”
