Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Joe Joyce suffered a crushing defeat to Zhilei Zhang in their rematch in London last night.

Joyce was outclassed again and looked vulnerable any time ‘Big Bang’ landed.

And the end came in the third round after a tremendous right hook sent Joyce crashing to the canvas.

At 38 years of age time is not on the Brit’s side but he has vowed to continue fighting.

Speaking to the BBC post-fight he said,

“I’m going to [take] a bit of time… reflect and review where I went wrong.”

Asked if he may retire after the two consecutive defeats he replied,

“No chance. I’m feeling good, I’m feeling OK. It’s not the end of the world. I can rebuild and come back.”

“There’s plenty of learning to do. He’s a tough fighter. Maybe it was a risk too far.”

“I’ve taken losses in the amateurs. I prefer to win obviously but I feel OK.”

“I still feel fresh and that I can do some more sparring and rounds. I’m feeling OK. I’ll just have to lick my wounds and comeback stronger.”
