Katie Taylor has avenged her lone career loss against Chantelle Cameron in another thriller.

The 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland once again played host to a unified female super lightweight title bout between Cameron and Taylor. In their first meeting, Taylor failed to take the gold from Cameron in a majority decision loss. It was the first defeat in Taylor's pro boxing career.

Fans in attendance were pulling for Taylor to avenge the defeat to Cameron back in May.

Wish granted.

Round one of the rematch saw Cameron look to establish the jab early. Katie had her own jab going and landed a hook. A left hand landed for Cameron followed by a right. Cameron landed a punch that dropped Katie, but the referee deemed it a slip, so it wasn't ruled a knockdown.

Round two began and these two were swinging leather. Cameron swarmed Katie near the end of the second stanza. Katie was firing back with her until the bell sounded.

Katie's back was against the ropes and Cameron looked to capitalize, but Katie fought her way out of a bad position. Some inside fighting between the two ensued. Katie and Cameron were clashing heads and there was a cut on the forehead of Cameron.

Early in the fourth round, the referee called in the ringside doctor to check on Cameron's cut. Cameron was allowed to continue and pressured Katie against the ropes. Katie was finding a home for the right hand.

Round five began and the pace continued to be frenetic. Cameron backed up Katie with a right hand near the end of the round. She also connected with a nice jab to the body.

By round six it was safe to say this one was another barn burner between the two. Cameron landed a left hand. A series of uppercuts to the jaw and body were there for Cameron. Katie fired back with a combination that was partially blocked.

A right hand was there for Katie, but Cameron continued walking forward. Leather was flying between the two near the end of the seventh round.

Cameron missed a hook as Katie ducked under for a clinch. Cameron landed clean uppercuts inside. Blood formed under the left eye of Katie. Cameron was roughing up Katie with her size here. Katie looked like the weight Cameron put on her wore her down a bit. She fired off a combination near the end of the round.

As Cameron moved in early in round nine, she got popped with some punches upstairs. Cameron's corner had been complaining about holding from Katie all night. It was clear that the strategy was frustrating Cameron all night.

Round 10, which was the final round, got started and the two continued making things ugly in close. After 10 rounds of action, it looked as if Katie had done enough to avenge the lone loss of her pro boxing career.

It was indeed a win for Katie Taylor, who is now the new unified female super lightweight champion via majority decision.
