Hurricanes seemingly making a run at four-star LSU CB commit

Jaboree Antoine has been committed to the LSU Tigers since late January 2024 and he's one of Brian Kelly's most important 2025 recruits.

First, Antoine, from New Iberia, Louisiana, is an in-state recruit for LSU, and in-state recruiting is the lifeblood of any good program.

Second, and just as important, is Antoine's talent profile. Nationally, he's ranked as the No. 7 overall cornerback in his class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Again, Antoine is a big commitment for Kelly and his staff to keep locked in, which makes the latest news on social media a bit troublesome for LSU.

Turns out that Antoine is currently in Coral Gables taking in the University of Miami's first spring practice.

To make things more intriguing, Miami was his first offer way back in January 2023, and the Hurricanes were among his top schools before his commitment.

Though Antoine did eventually choose LSU, Miami appeared to be a strong option.

“I think I would be a great fit at Miami,” Antoine had told CaneSport in January. “I’ve built great relationships with them, and I think Miami is one of my top schools. They’re really recruiting me.”

It seems as if the Hurricanes haven't stopped recruiting the four-star cornerback despite his commitment to LSU. This will be an intriguing situation to watch moving forward.
