Some of the top stars around college football are not going to be waiting around the amateur ranks as major conferences cancel the 2020 season.

These potential top NFL draft picks have no reason to waste another season in college when they can turn pro and start earning those millions.

We now have another top-end player in the country set to make the jump the professional ranks, as Michigan cornerback Ambry Thomas has declared for the 2021 NFL Draft:

Previously slated to enter his senior season with the Wolverines, the 6-foot Thomas is among the best pure cover guys in the nation.

A four-star recruit out of Martin Luther King High School in Detroit back in 2017, Thomas finishes his Michigan career having tallied 54 tackles and four interceptions. Although, that does not come close to telling the story here.

Thomas earned All-Big Ten honors last season and is seen as a potential top-20 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

His decision was made easy by the Big Ten deciding to cancel the 2020 college football season slated to start later this month. While the conference is hoping to play spring ball, there’s no reason for top-end draft prospects to risk injury immediately ahead of the annual event.
