For over three decades, Snoop Dogg has established himself as one of the most iconic rappers in hip-hop and one of the most recognizable figures in entertainment. Snoop first came to the music scene in 1992 with a feature on Dr. Dre's single "Deep Cover." The following year, Snoop released his debut album, Dogġystyle, and helped introduce the West Coast G-funk sound to the masses. 

Throughout his career, not only has he taken over the airwaves in hip-hop, but he's also dabbled into the worlds of reggae, pop, and gospel. While his solo discography is massive, Snoop has also shared his talent on some of the best collaborations in music history. Here is a list of some of the best songs in which Snoop is a featured guest.

In 1992, Dr. Dre released his debut album, The Chronic, led by the single “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang.” It’s the track where more people were introduced to a young Snoop Dogg. In Snoop’s verse, he introduces himself and lets listeners know he has skills behind the microphone.

2Pac and Snoop Dogg have unfortunately faced the criminal justice system throughout their lives, but they also dealt with beef in the music industry. The two rappers teamed up on 2Pac’s 1996 single “2 Of Amerikas Most Wanted” to highlight facing their days in court.

In 2002, Jermaine Dupri released an anthem for the city of Atlanta with “Welcome to Atlanta.” However, when he decided to release a remix, he took his love for the city to another level. Dupri recruited Snoop Dogg, Diddy, and Murphy Lee to rap about their hometowns as well. Snoop uses the opportunity to highlight his town of Long Beach, including palm trees, the love for the Los Angeles Lakers, and gang life.

Bow Wow has always worked closely with Jermaine Dupri, but Snoop Dogg also mentored him early in his career. On Bow Wow’s second single, “Bow Wow (That’s My Name),” it was only evident to add Snoop to the song. On the track, Snoop doesn’t shy away from using several dog descriptions such as barking, throwing frisbees, and bringing his Doġgystyle essence.

Throughout Snoop Dogg’s career, he’s reinvented himself to become mainstream across other genres in addition to hip-hop. In 2010, pop singer Katy Perry recruited Snoop Dogg to join her on the single “California Gurls.” On the track, they highlight how no other women come close to comparing to those hailing from the Golden State. As Snoop says, “Toned, tanned, fit and ready / Turn it up ‘cause it’s getting heavy / Wild, wild, West Coast / These are the girls I love the most.”

While Dre uses the track to showcase how he’s one of the best in the hip-hop game, Snoop adds his essence of representing their hometown. As Snoop says on the hook, “I’m representing for them gangstas all across the world / Hittin’ them corners in the low lows, girl.”

The track feeds into the album’s theme of being intimate with one’s partner, particularly in the morning. As Snoop says in his verse, “Baby said she want a menace like Dennis / So I’m up in this, racket like a tennis / Don’t interrupt me, baby boo, ‘cause I’m not finished.”
