Adele confirms ‘30’ album with release date: ‘I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life’

The internet sleuths were right.

After much speculation, Adele confirmed Wednesday morning that her fourth solo studio album "30" will arrive Nov. 19.

The post’s second slide is a lengthy note from the 15-time Grammy winner, explaining how this album served as her “ride or die” in the three years since she started crafting it—seeing her through her divorce from Simon Konecki and what she called as “the most turbulent period of my life” overall.

“I’ve learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way,” Adele wrote, in part. “I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I’d go as far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.”

Last week, the 33-year-old explained similar sentiments as the first-ever simultaneous cover star of Vogue and British Vogue, where she shared that "30" was written for her nine-year-old son, Angelo, as much as herself.

“I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness,” she told British Vogue. “It made him really unhappy sometimes. And that’s a real wound for me that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to heal.”

Adele added to Vogue: “It’s sensitive for me, this record, just in how much I love it. I always say that 21 doesn’t belong to me anymore. Everyone else took it into their hearts so much. I’m not letting go of this one. This is my album. I want to share myself with everyone, but I don’t think I’ll ever let this one go.”

Fans will get their first taste with “Easy On Me” on Friday, which was officially teased Oct. 5.

Adele last released the world-dominating "25" in November 2015, housing powerhouse singles such as “Hello,” “Send My Love (To Your New Lover),” and “When We Were Young.”
