As this list will prove, Beyoncé has always been an icon. So it’s only fitting for “Crazy In Love” to kick things off. Selling over six million records in the United States alone, this song has certainly stood the test of time. It has become one of Queen Bey’s most popular songs and one of the biggest songs in pop culture history. 

Released as a single from her second album, B’Day, “Check On It” sold over two million copies, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and became the theme song for Steve Martin’s The Pink Panther.

This R&B single was another track from Bey’s second studio album. It’s one of many that feature the hip-hop giant Jay-Z, also known as her husband, and is regarded as one of the pair’s greatest hits. Who doesn’t love this gem? It could be its lovely melody or its empowering lyrics. Either way, “Irreplaceable” was a massive success for Beyoncé and is undoubtedly one of the most popular songs released in the 2000s. It reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 and remained there for 10 weeks. It’s been sold over six million times and has scored Bey several awards.

“Beautiful Liar,” released in February 2007, is one of Beyoncé and Colombian singer Shakira’s most successful singles. After peaking at No. 3 on the Hot 100, the song became Knowles’ ninth top-ten hit, and as of 2022, it has been sold over two million times. 

“If I Were A Boy” was released as one of the two lead singles from her third album, I Am… Sasha Fierce. It’s been sold over six million times, claimed No. 3 on the Hot 100, and received nominations for Record and Song of the Year at the 2009 Grammy Awards.

One of the world’s most popular songs of all time, “Single Ladies,” has been sold over nine million times, and rightfully so. It’s a classic, loved by many, including former President Barack Obama. Released as the second lead single from her third project, it took home the Grammy for Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, and many others. Not only is it an empowering anthem for women (and men), but it’ll be cemented in pop culture history forever and ever. 

Another chart-topper from the singer’s third album, “Halo,” has been sold over nine million times and is one of Beyoncé’s most moving songs. It’s emotional, powerful, and a timeless hit that’s certainly made its mark on the world.

We’ve always known Beyoncé to be a hard worker, but learning that she recorded her smash hit “Sweet Dreams” in 15 minutes puts her in a category of her own. It’s one of the singer’s best-selling singles from her third album and is featured in her record-breaking show, The Renaissance World Tour. 

Now entering a new era, 4, Beyoncé set out to do something different. Her lead single, “Run The World (Girls)," is a female empowerment pop song that heavily samples “Pon de Floor” by Major Lazer. It's a popular song (primarily known for its beat, lyrics, and memorable choreography) that has been sold over four million times. Additionally, the music video has 568 million views and counting.

Another moving and empowering song, “Best Thing I Never Had,” was released in 2011 and received fairly positive reviews from critics. Like some of the other songs on this list, it may not have charted within the top 10 on the Hot 100; however, it snatched a Grammy nomination and reached quadruple platinum-selling status. 

Also coming from her fourth studio album, “Love On Top," peaked at No. 20 on the Hot 100. Even so, it’s become one of Beyoncé’s most popular and notable songs — with performances at her iconic Coachella performance and at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. 

“Drunk in Love” is the second single released from Beyonce’s highly impactful surprise album, Beyoncé. Released in 2013, “DIL” reached No. 2 on the Hot 100 and has since become one of Bey and Jay’s most successful collaborations to date. 

“Partition” is one of many steamy Beyoncé tracks that you can play on multiple occasions. Regarding the song’s production, she said (h/t People), “It takes me back to being in my car as a teenager. It takes me back to when me and my husband first [met], and he tries to scoop me, and he thinks I'm the hottest thing in the world. I kind of had this whole fantasy of being in the car, and this whole movie played in my head. I didn't have a pen and paper. I got to the mic, I'm like, 'Oh, press Record.'”

“Flawless” is the perfect hype song to start your morning or prep for a night out. It’s a self-love anthem full of empowering lyrics and an infectious beat. Despite its suggestive lyrics, it’s been a staple on Queen Bey’s setlist since 2013. Let me hear you say, “Hey, Mrs. Carter.”
