Dax Shepard reveals new celebrity crush, wife Kristen Bell is in full support

Dax Shepard has been proclaiming his unrequited love for Brad Pitt for years, but he has finally moved on.

The 46-year-old actor and Armchair Expert podcast host revealed his new celebrity crush is Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo.

"I'm embarrassed to say I did what these old men do: I got a younger model," Shepard said during a joint appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show with his wife, Kristen Bell. "Because Danny's only 31. I watched this Drive to Survive thing on Netflix ... and then I became obsessed with Formula 1. And then I interviewed Daniel Ricciardo on the podcast, and then he and I kind of hit it off. I pushed hard, got a phone number, and we've just really been building this thing that's culminated in us seeing the world together, really."

As photos of Ricciardo and Shepard were displayed on the screen, Bell laughed and said, "They're so cute. I fully support this."

DeGeneres made sure to point out to Shepard that Ricciardo stopped by her show earlier this month. 

"He and I have formed a relationship," she said. "I didn't have to push hard for a number, and so, he has been texting with me. I just talked to him because he had the race in Mexico yesterday."
