Jennifer Garner says '13 Going on 30' holds 'so much meaning for me'

Jennifer Garner is Sean Evans' latest guest on Hot Ones. The full episode will drop Thursday, but the teaser shared Wednesday had some interesting nuggets.

Evans asked Garner about her leading role in 2004 romantic comedy—and "one of the most enduring cult classics"—13 Going on 30. Garner, always endearing and polite, responded as you would expect: "Playing Jenna Rink had and continues to have so much meaning for me. Just the ebullience of that character and of that time are all connected in this warm, hazy, fuzzy, rosy glow."

Garner was similarly reflective with The Hollywood Reporter last week.

"It's a very hungry, greedy career and a very unforgiving one," the 48-year-old mother of three told writer Lacey Rose for the profile, "and for someone who has chosen family way more often than I probably should have, I can't believe I'm still here."

Garner continued her Holly ascent post-13 Going on 30 through J.J. Abrams-directed television series Alias from 2001-06. Most recently, the Golden Globe winner stars as doting mother Allison Torres in Netflix family comedy Yes Day:

And there is plenty more Garner to come, as she will co-star opposite Ryan Reynolds in sci-fi The Adam Project and is reportedly set to lead Abrams' Apple TV Plus limited series My Glory Was I Had Such Friends.
