Jennifer Lopez on Ben Affleck reunion: 'I don't think anybody was more surprised than us'

Jennifer Lopez is in love, and she is the first to admit she didn't see it coming.

J. Lo stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show as part of her media tour in promotion of Marry Me , out Friday, and of course, she was asked about reuniting with Ben Affleck—her boyfriend yet again since at least this summer.

"I don't think anybody was more surprised than us," the 52-year-old global superstar said with a laugh, adding, "You never could imagine something like that could happen. It's a beautiful thing."

Lopez expressed the same "Bennifer" sentiment as the cover star of People earlier this month:

"I just feel very happy and lucky to be in a relationship that's happy and loving, and I want to do everything I can to protect that and keep it safe," she told the publication, in part. "It deserves that, it really does. ... We hold it sacred. It's beautiful the way it feels very different than it was years ago. ... There's more of an appreciation and a celebration for it, which is nice. When you find somebody and you really, really love them and you get a second chance at that? That is a really rare, precious, beautiful thing and we don't take it for granted."

Affleck and Lopez were first involved from 2002 until their called-off engagement in 2004.
