Miley Cyrus replaces 'Party in the U.S.A.' lyrics with 'Free Britney' at Vegas show

The #FreeBritney movement invaded Las Vegas on Sunday (July 4).

Miley Cyrus gave a rocking performance as part of the grand opening for Resorts World Las Vegas. When it was time to belt out her 2009 smash single "Party in the U.S.A," the 28-year-old chanted "Free Britney" in place of "And a Britney song was on" in the pre-chorus:

"We love JAY-Z, but we've got to free this b—h," Cyrus said elsewhere during the song, referencing the first pre-chorus' mention of a JAY-Z song being on the taxi radio. "It's stressing me the f—k out!"

While several prominent celebrities—including Christina Aguilera, Kevin Federline and Justin Timberlake—have voiced their support for Britney Spears following her 24-minute statement to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny on June 23 in an effort to end her nearly 13-year conservatorship, this wasn't the first time for Cyrus.

The Grammy nominee previously said "we love Britney" during her rendition of "Party in the U.S.A." for her TikTok Tailgate performance ahead of Super Bowl LV on Feb. 7, two days after the Framing Britney Spears documentary's debut.

Spears also mentioned Cyrus in her testimony in court: "Ma'am, my dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship and my management who played a huge role in punishing me when I said no—ma'am, they should be in jail. Their cruel tactics working for Miley Cyrus as she smokes on joints onstage at the VMAs—nothing is ever done to this generation for doing wrong things."

So far this week, the 39-year-old pop icon's longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, officially resigned after serving as her manager for 25 years and cited her "voicing her intention to officially retire." (Spears has been on an indefinite hiatus since January 2019.)

Almost simultaneously, her court-appointed lawyer Sam Ingham III resigned as her counsel, and People broke that Jodi Montgomery "has no plans to step down as Ms. Spears' Temporary Conservator of the Person."
