Nicolas Cage expecting first child with wife Riko Shibata

Nicolas Cage is becoming a dad for the third time.

A representative for Cage and his wife, Riko Shibata, confirmed to People on Friday — Cage's 58th birthday — that the couple is expecting their first child together. "The parents-to-be are elated!" the unnamed rep said.

Cage married Shibata, 27, in Las Vegas on Feb. 16, 2021. It's the fifth marriage for the Oscar winner, who is already a father to sons Kal-El, 16, and Weston, 31.

The couple made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere for Cage's indie film "Pig" last summer. Their first joint magazine cover followed in October.

Up next for Cage is "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent," out this April. The Tom Gormican film stars Cage playing a fictionalized version of himself:
