Sandra Bullock addresses 'Spider-Man' casting rumors

Sandra Bullock stars in Netflix's forthcoming drama "The Unforgivable," but as far as her 11-year-old son is concerned, her most unforgivable sin is not being part of the "Spider-Man" universe.

The Oscar-winning actress stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to start this week and shared that Louis, whom she adopted in 2010, doesn't watch any of her movies. "I am not his cup of tea," she said, noting that her eight-year-old daughter, Laila, has seen "Miss Congeniality." "He's 11, and he has really good taste. He likes Japanese anime. He's obsessed with Spider-Man. The whole thing."

This revelation led to Kimmel bringing up casting rumors that Bullock was going to be Madame Web in the Spider-Man film franchise.

"If that were a rumor that my son had heard, do you know how much I would get him to do in the house?" Bullock quipped. "I would be so successful in my requests."

She later added, after seemingly learning for the first time that she was attached to Madame Web: "Why was I not hired for this? What happened to the talks? I need to know because I think I would be amazing with the psychic-ness. ... How about we just perpetuate [the rumor], you get it onto YouTube, my son Louis will see it, and then all of the sudden, the look in his eye will shift."

Ultimately, Bullock shut it down once and for all. "I don't think I'm Marvel material," she said. "I have never been approached by Marvel."

But wait! There's more. Bullock revealed that she has been approached "for something that wasn't Marvel" in the superhero genre, "but my son said not to do it." The 57-year-old wouldn't say what the movie was, but she did agree with Louis. "I saw it when it came out and I went, 'Ooh, that's unfortunate,'" she continued. "It came out and everything. He was, like, six when he asked me not to do it."

So, the internet sleuths now know what time frame to investigate within.
