Seth Rogen, Nick Offerman leak that infamous sex tape in 'Pam & Tommy' trailer

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's love burned hot, and burned out even faster.

The official trailer for Hulu's original eight-part limited series Pam & Tommy  arrived Wednesday (Jan. 5), and it centers around Anderson (Lily James) and Lee (Sebastian Stan) as they grapple with their infamous 1995 honeymoon sex tape being leaked online by Rand Gauthier (Seth Rogen) and Uncle Miltie (Nick Offerman):

"Set in the Wild West early days of the Internet, Pam & Tommy is based on the incredible true story of the Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex tape," the official synopsis teases. "Stolen from the couple’s home by a disgruntled contractor, the video went from underground bootleg-VHS curiosity to full-blown global sensation when it hit the Web in 1997. A love story, crime caper and cautionary tale rolled into one, the eight-part original limited series explores the intersection of privacy, technology and celebrity, tracing the origins of our current Reality TV Era to a stolen tape seen by millions but meant to have an audience of just two."

We see Anderson flaunting on the beach as a star on Baywatch, Lee embodying the quintessential rockstar as the drummer for Mötley Crüe, and their attraction for each other turning into reckless passion—as Lee sets up a camera to record them being intimate.

Rand, a contracted electrician who had installed a security system at Lee's home, then steals the tape and brings it to the attention of Uncle Miltie, a porn impresario. "This is so private," Uncle Miltie says, in the understatement of the century. "It's like we're seeing something we're not supposed to be seeing."

While trying to sell the tape, they run into doubters, and Rand has the idea to sell it "someplace nobody could find us," and he suggests what was now-unbelievably a foreign concept in 1997: the internet.

Anderson sees the tape while on the set of Baywatch and descends into despair, feeling acutely violated as pirated copies spread like wildfire.

"You don't seem to understand what a big deal this is," she tells Tommy, worried because the public expects her to be pristine and perfect and pleasing people is her top priority.

He brushes her off. "I'm on the tape just the same as you."

"But this is worse for me."

"How is this worse for you?"

Pam & Tommy premieres Feb. 2 on Hulu.
