Taylor Swift will be 'SNL' musical guest around 'Red (Taylor's Version)' release

"Saturday Night Live" will kick off its slate of November shows this weekend with actor Kieran Culkin hosting and the recently COVID-free Ed Sheeran performing.

On Tuesday, "SNL" unveiled Jonathan Majors and Taylor Swift will handle the Nov. 13 episode before Simu Liu and Saweetie take over Studio 8H on Nov. 20.

Swift is releasing her re-recorded "Red (Taylor's Version)" album Nov. 12 — moving up from the original Nov. 19 release date. The track list was confirmed in August.

The 11-time Grammy winner is re-recording her earlier catalog to regain control over her controversially sold Big Machine masters. The first re-recorded album, "Fearless (Taylor's Version)," arrived in April.

Nov. 13 will be Swift's fifth "SNL" appearance, but it will mark the first time for Majors, Liu and Saweetie.

Majors is a rapidly ascending actor known for roles in "Lovecraft Country," "Loki" and "The Harder They Fall." The 32-year-old earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for his work on the since-canceled Lovecraft Country. Liu, 32, starred as the titular character in the Marvel blockbuster "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings." He is the first-ever Asian superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Saweetie has run up the charts with ubiquitous singles "My Type" and "Best Friend" featuring Doja Cat. The 28-year-old rapper is expected to drop her highly anticipated debut solo studio album "Pretty B---h Music" soon, though she previously delayed it.
