These 20 stars surprisingly don’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Kim Kardashian wouldn’t be the traditional option for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but she’s one of the most famous women in the world, and she’s accomplished a ton. If her recent foray into the acting sector continues to be successful, she might be able to snag a star eventually. 

Justin Bieber has plenty of accolades, but one missing is a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Plenty of other Canadian celebrities have been enshrined on the sidewalk, but we have yet to see this young superstar earn a tile of his own. 

Ariana Grande somehow doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yet. The singer has earned multiple Grammys, sung all over the world, and recorded No. 1 hits and albums, but the Walk of Fame star has still eluded her. 

The Hollywood Walk of Fame has yet to honor superheroes with stars. Robert Downey Jr. doesn’t have one, nor do several other famous superhero actors. Christian Bale, Tom Holland, Chris Evans, Tobey Maguire, and even Ben Affleck have yet to have their fame cemented with a star. 

We wouldn’t be so surprised Emma Watson doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame if her Harry Potter co-star, Daniel Radcliffe , didn’t have one either, but he does. Watson has been just as successful as Radcliffe post-HP, so we’ll be scratching our heads over this one for a while. 

At first, it’s shocking to know that Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but after some consideration, it’s not all that surprising. Celebrities have to pay for their stars and promise to be at the unveiling ceremony. DiCaprio certainly has the cash to afford the star, but displays of that nature don’t seem like his cup of tea. 

To qualify for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, you have to be nominated. Madonna has been nominated, but she turned down the chance to be honored. We can’t exactly blame her. She doesn’t need to prove herself with a star on a sidewalk.

We figure it’s only a matter of time before Miley Cyrus gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cyrus is accomplished in film, television, and music, making her more than qualified to receive one. Her godmother, Dolly Parton, has had her own star for years. 

The late Whitney Houston almost had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her nomination was approved, but her team reportedly never set a date for her unveiling ceremony. As noted, the stars must agree to be present for the ceremony to have a star. 

Al Pacino is star-less on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, too. The Scarface actor has never addressed why he doesn’t have a star, but if we had to guess, he was selected and turned it down. Pacino is about his craft. He doesn’t care about the excess. 

We’re willing to bet Beyoncé has been selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She’s one of the most successful musicians of all time — surely someone has nominated her. But Beyoncé doesn’t make public appearances more than she has to, so a ceremony in her honor likely doesn’t thrill her. 

Taylor Swift doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but unlike Beyoncé, she does make regular public appearances, especially as of late. Maybe it’s only a matter of time before she gets one. She certainly has the credentials to qualify. 

Prince never receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was entirely his choice. The famed singer was asked twice to accept a star, but he turned down the opportunity both times. Clearly, the star wasn’t vital to his legacy. 

Natalie Portman has been making movies for decades, and she’s even got an Oscar to her name. But she doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Still, she’s got a fruitful career, so does a star really matter?

We wouldn’t be surprised that Lisa Kudrow doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame if her two female Friends co-stars, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, didn’t have stars, but they both do. Kudrow did speak at Cox’s unveiling ceremony, so she’s been included in the process somehow. 

Angelina Jolie is another actor who keeps a relatively low profile, and we’re guessing her unwillingness to show up at the unveiling ceremony is the reason she doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her father, Jon Voight, doesn’t have one either, but we’re not sure why.

Brad Pitt is also star-less. He’s never said whether he was asked and turned it down or simply hasn’t been selected, but we’d guess it’s the former. He’s got two Oscars, though, and those are much harder to come by.

Like many of his peers, George Clooney has been nominated for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but he’s declined the offer. Clooney reportedly has no interest in the honor. Maybe he’s too busy living in Italy and starring opposite Julia Roberts to attend the unveiling ceremony. 

Julia Roberts doesn’t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame either, and she’s never said why. She and George Clooney need to nominate each other and have a joint unveiling ceremony. They could give speeches in honor of the other and have stars side-by-side on the sidewalk. 

Like some other stars on this list, Denzel Washington was selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but he reportedly never set a date for the unveiling ceremony. Considering Washington basically only emerges in Hollywood for work, it’s not all that shocking that he doesn’t want to attend a ceremony in his honor, either.
