The USC Trojans suffered their fifth loss in their last six games to close out this dreadful and nightmare 2023 season. It ended in the worst way possible as well, given that they were ceding the victory bell to their arch rivals, the UCLA Bruins, in embarrassing fashion, 38-20.
They were embarrassed at home in front of their fans and will go into the offseason with much soul-searching. However, it wasn't all too bad when you consider the stars in attendance. This rivalry game always brings out the brightest of stars; there was no expectation this past Saturday.
The stars were out, including pop-punker and USC student Olivia Rodrigo. Rodrigo was there cheering on her Trojans. The fans at the stadium enjoyed it, but the fans on Twitter/X had other things in mind.

I bet she could've had more rushing yards than the Trojans.

She seems to care more than the clowns on the field

The only USC highlight at today's game

It seems like everyone on Twitter/X had the same concern when it comes to the young pop-punk star. Obviously, the fans were being sarcastic, but the defense, as it has been the case all season long, was a serious concern. They looked as dreadful as usual.
Nothing went right for the Trojans on Saturday outside of the second quarter. They turned over the ball three times, and even though they out-gained the Bruins in total yards, that alone was not enough.
The stars in attendance weren't enough to get the Trojans going as they got outmatched and were not physical enough for the more hungry Bruins. It was a sad way to go out, and all we could hope for now is true change to the program as they transition to the Big 10.
