'Walking Dead' star Norman Reedus reportedly engaged to actress Diane Kruger

Norman Reedus and Diane Kruger have reportedly made their relationship a little more official. An unnamed source confirmed to People on Thursday (Aug. 26) that the couple is engaged.

The 52-year-old actor and 45-year-old actress first met while filming Sky—a 2015 indie drama starring Kruger as Romy, who leaves her husband while vacationing in the United States and starts an exciting romance with Diego (Reedus). The movie also starred Lena Dunham, Joshua Jackson and Gilles Lellouche, and it was directed by Fabienne Berthaud.

At the time, Kruger was dating Jackson, whom she'd been with for 10 years before splitting in 2016.

"That was something that was a long time coming," Kruger told Vulture of the breakup in 2017. "Also we broke up many months before we said we were broken up, so by the time I made that decision, it didn’t feel like it was so urgent anymore. You don't break up overnight after ten years, you know what I mean?"

Previously, at the Sky premiere, Kruger spoke highly of Reedus to People.

"I didn't know [Reedus] before the film," the Inglourious Basterds star said then. "We share a lot of intimate scenes. I was really nervous about meeting him and not being able to have a drink with him, or talk with him."

Kruger added that she was "pleasantly surprised" by the Walking Dead star. Reedus was equally as complimentary, calling Kruger "a dream." 

The pair weren't romantically linked until 2017, and their relationship wasn't officially confirmed until walking the red carpet hand-in-hand at the Golden Globes in 2018. Reedus and Kruger then welcomed their first child together, a daughter whose name isn't publicly known, that fall. (See the full relationship timeline here.)
