Watch Jamie Foxx nail his Al Pacino and Dave Chappelle impressions

Jamie Foxx was so excited to get out of his house, which he said is full of about 20 family members and friends and has been since the beginning of quarantine, that he joined Jimmy Kimmel Live  as if he were greeting a packed audience.

"Same energy!" the 53-year-old multihyphenate screamed. "I don't care!"

Once he settled down, Foxx eventually put on a show for the few people in the studio like the Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe winner that he is by busting out his Dave Chappelle and Al Pacino impressions (12-minute, 30-second mark):

Foxx slipped into character while discussing his upcoming Netflix family comedy sitcom Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!, where he imitates Chappelle and Pacino in the first few episodes. His Barack Obama impression made it into the first official trailer, which dropped March 18:

On Kimmel, Foxx detailed the time he actually did his Chappelle impersonation in front of the 47-year-old comedian: "We go to Eddie (Murphy)'s house. All of us, all the comedians, Chappelle—we're waiting on Eddie to just come out from the balcony and just, 'Suckle me, comedians!' I was waiting on the scene from Gladiator, you know?"

He added: "But at the end of the night, everybody was trying to win funniest of the night. We started circling around 2:30, whatever it was. At one point, we're standing there—(Chris) Rock, Eddie, everybody—and Dave says, 'Look at Jamie's shoes.' I said, 'What about my shoes?' He said, 'What?' I said, 'What?' ... And then he goes, 'Man, this is wild, man. Jamie's doing an impersonation of me.'"

Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! will hit Netflix on April 14, and Foxx's daughter, Corinne, serves as executive producer. Foxx has also been in the news recently with the March 22 announcement that he will star as Mike Tyson and serve as executive producer alongside Martin Scorcese for an authorized upcoming biographical limited series titled Tyson.
