Ricky Starks gained recognition in the NWA before joining AEW amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

He became a member of Team Taz but eventually branched out to establish his own identity and now holds a prominent position as an uppercard to main event player in the promotion.

Starks, real name Richard Starks, has locked down his ring name for action figures. The AEW wrestler, through his company, Dream Palace, had attorney Michael Dockins file the trademark with the USPTO for the purposes of action figure toys on October 16. Here is the description:

“Mark For: RICKY STARKS™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of action figure toys; Action figures; Action figures and accessories therefor; Toy action figures; Toy action figures and accessories therefor.”

Starks filed for his name under entertainment and merchandise purposes earlier this year.
