The Las Vegas Raiders have to decide soon who they want to be their new general manager for the long term future, and who they want to be the head coach as well. They have several people in mind, but only they know what can really happen.
Patrick Graham, the defensive coordinator, should be the only guy retained this season if they were to retain any of the assistants. He is already starting to look like a hot commodity in the coaching free agency.
Both the Los Angeles Chargers and Carolina Panthers have expressed interest in Graham for a job. However, after the Raiders recent decision, it would appear that they don't want teams interviewing him.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Las Vegas Raiders blocked one team from interviewing Graham. That tells me they would love to retain him as a defensive coordinator, but obviously, whoever the head coach is will make that decision as well.
#Raiders respected DC Patrick Graham received a request to interview for a defensive coordinator job, source said, which was blocked by Las Vegas. The Raiders likely will allow the new head coach a decision on inherited staff members.
