Super Bowl Halftime Rumor: Justin Bieber To Join Usher?

The King of R&B has been rocking a sold-out Las Vegas residency (Usher: My Way, The Vegas Residency) that has been extended twice due to its popularity. The Super Bowl halftime performance will mark his 101st in Las Vegas. 

Usher confirmed that he will include special guests for his super halftime performance in an interview with Billboard. But who? That is the question. There is a rumor that Justin Bieber could be a surprise guest after Bieber teased photos on social media.

Bieber and Usher collaborated on the song "Somebody To Love," from Bieber's first studio album My World 2.0. Usher has been credited for developing Bieber into the pop star that he is today.

Last June, Bieber was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis in half of his face, causing him to cancel the remainder of his Justice world tour.

Bieber played his first-live set in over a year at All-Star Weekend in early February when he played at Drake's History Club.

Shortly after, Bieber shared photos and videos on Instagram of himself singing into a microphone and teasing a surprise performance with a shushing emoji.

Also of note, since 2010, only six halftime performers have taken the stage solo. 

Usher has a long list of collaborators to keep an eye out for, including Bieber, Lil John, Ludacris, Beyoncé and Alicia Keys. 

Meanwhile, on the football side of the news ... Dallas continues to interview prospects to fill its defensive coordinator role. New York Jets safeties coach Marquand Manuel joins the long list of candidates to replace Dan Quinn, including: Mike Zimmer, Ron Rivera, Wink Martindale and Rex Ryan. And the Cowboys have blocked Quinn from poaching Al Harris from The Star.
