Pirates’ minor league affiliates took three of four games on Wednesday night with three one-score games and a blowout. Indianapolis allowed just two hits in their 4-3 win over Toledo, although eight walks issued meant it took a ninth-inning RBI single from Billy McKinney to secure victory. Altoona secured a comeback win after a rough outing from their starter for the second consecutive night, with Po-Yu Chen lit up for five runs (four earned) in 3.1 innings.

Greensboro was the only team to breathe easy, cruising to a 7-1 win, while Bradenton fell 2-1, unable to scrape the tying run across in a seventh inning rally.
