The 27-year-old is 21-11 in his six-year career with a 3.24 ERA, 1.122 WHIP and 266 strikeouts in 216.2 innings. He has also played for the Texas Rangers.
San Diego has added Blake Snell, Yu Darvish, Ha-Seong Kim and Victor Caratini this winter and re-signed Jurickson Profar, among other moves.
