UFC Champion Amanda Nunes Drops Massive Hint About Her Future

UFC women's bantamweight and featherweight titleholder Amanda Nunes has revealed one potential route once her fighting days are over.

Nunes is one of the most dominant champions the UFC has seen. Despite a hiccup against Julianna Pena back in late 2021, Nunes pressed forward avenged her loss in dominant fashion. "The Lioness" quickly returned to the form fight fans have grown accustomed to seeing.

Having recently turned 35 years old, some wonder if Nunes has been thinking about what she'll do post-UFC. During an interview with the New York Post, Nunes admitted that WWE wouldn't be a bad landing spot if the offer was to her liking.

“If the contract is amazing, why not?” she asked. “What I wanted to do in MMA, I did already — even more than I thought in my head when I went through my whole career. I became a double champion. I wanted only one — I had two … I’m so happy, and whatever comes after I’m done with UFC, we’ll see. For sure you guys will see me around, anyways.”

Former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey ended up moving on from the fight world and transitioned to sports entertainment. Rousey has been with WWE since 2018. the "Rowdy" one's last pro MMA bout was against Nunes. "The Lioness" scored a 48-second TKO win.

Fight fans can catch Nunes in action this Saturday night (June 10). She will put her 135-pound gold on the line against Irene Aldana in the main event of UFC 289.
