Theo Pinson is coming off a year where he played in 40 regular season games for the  Dallas Mavericks.

He averaged 2.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 35.6% from the field and 35.5% from the three-point range.

This summer, the 27-year-old became a free agent, and he still remains available to sign with any team in the NBA on October 15.

According to the G League's official transaction page, Pinson's G League rights were traded (on Friday) from the Maine Celtics (G League affiliate of the Boston Celtics) to the Texas Legends (G League affiliate of the Mavs).

In the deal, the Maine Celtics will acquire the G League rights to Grant Riller and James Banks III (who both played for the Texas Legends last season).

Riller averaged 21.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field in 26 regular season games (he also appeared in 15 Showcase Cup games).
