With one preseason game in the books, Steve Kerr sounds like a coach more than happy with the addition of veteran point guard Chris Paul. While the Golden State Warriors still have plenty to sort out, and learn in general, about their new-look starting lineup, it seems Paul checked all the boxes in Kerr’s eyes following the 125-108 preseason opener.
While speaking with reporters following the game, Kerr gushed with praise about Paul and how impressed he’s been with him, going as far as calling him “amazing,” as NBC Sports Bay Area revealed.
"Chris [Paul] is amazing. He keeps the game so easy and he’s such a great passer ... You just kind of know he's just gonna be making the right play over and over... Chris is amazing, really fun to have him on our side,” Kerr said.

Paul logged just 13 minutes, the same as all the other starters with the exception of Andrew Wiggins, who clocked in with 14 minutes. With Draymond Green sidelined due to an ankle injury, the Warriors started Paul, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevon Looney and Wiggins. Over the 13 minutes he played, Paul knocked down 2-of-4 shot attempts for six points and added five assists and four rebounds.
