AUG 15 NBA CUP SCHEDULE The NBA Cup schedule has been released.

Here's a look at the San Antonio Spurs games:

The Spurs kick things off by hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves on Nov. 10. Then, they travel to face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 14.

The Spurs close their NBA Cup games by hosting the Sacramento Kings on Nov. 17 and visiting the Golden State Warriors on Nov. 24.

AUG 10 WEMBY 2K RATING Victor Wembanyama continues to make history before stepping on the court for the San Antonio Spurs.

Wemby was awarded an 84 rating, the highest-ever for a rookie in the video game's history, beating out Zion Williamson's 81.

NBA 2K24 will be released on Sep. 8.

AUG 9 UDRIH COACHING HERD A former member of the San Antonio Spurs is heading back to the G League.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Wisconsin Herd, G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, is hiring former point guard Beno Udrih as its new coach.

Udrih, 41, played 13 seasons in the NBA and was part of the Spurs' 2005 and 2007 championship rosters.

AUG 2 WEMBY IN 2K San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama isn't just making his NBA debut this year, but his video game premiere as well.

JULY 31 SPURS BUBBLE ANNIVERSARY Today marks three years since the San Antonio Spurs played their first game in the COVID-19 bubble in Orlando.

The Spurs played the Sacramento Kings, grabbing a 129-120 win. DeMar DeRozan led the way with 27 points.

JULY 17 SPURS CUT STEVENS Lamar Stevens' San Antonio Spurs tenure is over before it begins.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Spurs are waiving Stevens in order to make room for Cam Payne, who was acquired in a trade Sunday with the Phoenix Suns.

Stevens averaged 5.3 points per game with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season and will now go through waivers.

JULY 15 SPURS FINAL SUMMER LEAGUE GAME After falling to the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, the San Antonio Spurs (2-2) will face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on NBA TV.

JULY 12 SPURS HONORED AT ESPYS - The San Antonio Spurs were honored at the 2023 ESPYS on Wednesday as the winners of ESPN's Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year.

The Spurs hosted practices in Uvalde, Texas this past season to bring light to the community after the horrific mass shooting at Robb Elementary in May 2022. The organization also donated and raised funds in an effort to help those impacted by the tragedy.

JULY 12 SPURS HOF PRESENTERS This year's Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony will have the San Antonio Spurs stamped all over it.

Coach Gregg Popovich is set to be presented by four of his former Hall-of-Fame players ... David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker.

Parker, who is also set to be inducted, will be presented by his Hall-of-Fame teammates Duncan and Ginobili.

Former Spurs big man Pau Gasol will be presented by Toni Kukoc, and assistant coach Becky Hammon will be presented by women's basketball legends Sheryl Swoopes and Teresa Witherspoon.

JULY 10 WEMBY OUT FOR SUMMER Victor Wembanyama will no longer be playing at the Las Vegas Summer League, according to the team.

Wembanyama played in the team's first two games on Friday and Sunday, struggling in his debut, but responding with a 27-point performance in his second contest against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Spurs face the Washington Wizards tomorrow at 9:30 p.m. on NBA TV.

JULY 8 POPOVICH SIGNS EXTENSION San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is sticking around.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Spurs have signed Popovich to a new five-year extension.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Popovich is signing a five-year deal worth $80 million, making him once again the highest-paid coach in the NBA.

Popovich, 74, was due for a new contract after his most recent one expired at season's end.

JULY 7 VIC'S FIRST POINTS Victor Wembanyama didn't waste too much time scoring in his San Antonio Spurs debut.

The Spurs and Hornets can be watched on ESPN or ESPN+.

JULY 7 ROMEO LANGFORD RENOUNCED San Antonio Spurs free agent Romeo Langford is likely not returning to the team.

According to Spotrac, Langford's free agency rights have been renounced, making him an unrestricted free agent as opposed to restricted.

This likely signals that the Spurs are willing to see him join another team in free agency and could very well mark the end of his tenure in San Antonio.

JULY 6 DEJOUNTE SIGNS EXTENSION Former San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray has reason to celebrate tonight.

According to Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes, Murray has signed a four-year, $120 million extension with the Atlanta Hawks.

A year ago, Murray was traded by the Spurs to the Hawks for a package headlined by three first-round draft picks.
