Update: Chiefs S Bryan Cook has officially been ruled out.
The Kansas City Chiefs just can't seem to catch a break when it comes to injuries in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers.
The latest development on the injury front is not a good one.
In the third quarter, Chiefs S Bryan Cook came up to make a tackle on a runner in the open field. As he made the tackle his ankle got caught and bent awkwardly right along the Packers' sideline.
Cook and his teammates immediately knew the injury was serious and motioned over for the training staff. As the game went to commercial, the cart came out to take Cook off the field. NBC did not replay the injury due to its graphic nature.
The second-year defender was quickly deemed questionable to return to the game, but fans shouldn't expect him to return.

The Chiefs are already down both LT Donovan Smith and LB Drue Tranquill. Now, another starter is sidelined due to injury, and this one might wind up being a long-term injury.
Kansas City will likely lean more on rookie DB Chamarri Conner to play in three-safety sets alongside Justin Reid and Mike Edwards. They also have Deon Bush on the practice squad, who they can call up if this is, in fact, a long-term injury for Cook.
