Drake London says what all Falcons fans are thinking
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons came up short for the third straight week after losing 25-23 to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

This is nothing new for Falcons fans who have continued to get their hopes up over and over, especially when Arthur Smith first took over as Atlanta's head coach in 2021.

But, unfortunately, nothing has changed.

Following the embarrassing loss to the Cardinals, wide receiver Drake London said what Falcons fans everywhere are thinking and feeling.

When asked by Fox 5's Justin Felder, "What's the emotion after it ends how it ends?"

Here's what a fed-up London said:

"I don't know...I don't like losing," London said. "I'm just going to keep it at that. I don't like losing. I don't want this to become a habit of ours. And we just need to switch some things up that's it."

London, who returned to the gridiron after missing Week 9's matchup with a hamstring injury, caught three of only four targets for 36 yards against the Cardinals. As the team's top wideout against a 31st-ranked pass defense, this was unacceptable.

Still, those numbers are nothing new considering London has logged more than 70 receiving yards only twice this season. He also only has two touchdowns on the season.

With the loss, the Falcons now rank third in the NFC South and their playoff hopes are dwindling.

They'll enter their bye week with plans to make adjustments before coming back to take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

“No, we aren’t making staff adjustments," Smith said post-game. "I know those are natural questions. We got the right guys in there. So we look at everything every week and um, we’ll find a way to get these wins.”
