The New York Jets are reportedly looking to shop one of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets this offseason. The Jets are in the process of making the offense more friendly for Rodgers up front, but there might be a change to the wide receiver room he doesn’t want.
One of the changes to the offensive line could be adding David Bakhtiari. The Green Bay Packers cut one of Rodgers’ best friends this week. Bakhtriari would be a fun addition for Rodgers and the 2024 version of the Jets as another former Packers player leaves New York.
Per Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Jets are shopping Allen Lazard this offseason.
The Jets have made WR Allen Lazard available in trade talks this offseason, league sources tell me and @ZackBlatt. Lazard is due a $10 million salary this season.

Lazard was on a shortlist of players he wanted the Jets to add before he was traded from the Packers last year. Lazard signed a four-year deal worth $44 million free agency last year. However, he struggled in the Jets offense after Rodgers was injured in Week 1.
Head coach Robert Saleh benched Lazard in November due to his poor play. Last season, Lazard had just 23 receptions for 311 yards and one touchdown.
It’s no surprise the Jets would like to trade Lazard if they can after his 2023 campaign. The issue for the Jets is Lazard’s hefty salary. Would any other team want to pay Lazard $10 million this season? That’s what the Bills gave Curtis Samuel in annual sums on Thursday afternoon, and Samuel is a better player.
Maybe the Jets could find a buyer, but they might have to eat some of his salary for the 2024 season.
