Rex Ryan Makes Hilarious Comment on Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney’s Crucial Offsides Penalty
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday, Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney made headlines with his crucial offsides penalty against the Buffalo Bills. This penalty took an unbelievable touchdown off of the board late in the fourth quarter. As a result, the Chiefs ended up losing the game to the Bills.

This was one of the hottest topics in the football world this morning. Because of this, several NFL analysts chimed in on this crucial mistake. However, no one said anything quite as memorable (or hilarious) as former Bills head coach Rex Ryan on the subject.

Rex Ryan Makes a Toe Joke

Rex Ryan made an appearance as an NFL analyst on ESPN’s “Get Up” morning show hosted by Mike Greenberg. Former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark also joined the panel as an NFL analyst. The three of them were reviewing footage of Toney’s crucial offside penalty. Then, Ryan stole the show with this comment

“You know I like toes. I don’t like this toe.”

As a result of this comment, Ryan Clark was not able to contain himself. He covered his face and laughed hysterically at Ryan’s comment for several seconds after he said it. Then, Clark responded with this accurate quote:

“Kadarius Toney, if you turn Rex against feet, you’re a bad man.”

Mike Greenberg tried his best to maintain professionalism. However, the reaction from Rex Ryan and Ryan Clark was too much to overcome and he ended up laughing with them. As a result, Greenberg simply ended the segment with this:

“There is no way for us to do a serious show if you go there, Rex. This is not the moment for it.”

Rex Ryan Toe History

For those of you who do not know, Ryan has a history with toes. Back in 2010, the football world had a wild reaction when word got out about his wife, Michelle Ryan, posting a foot-fetish video on the internet. Since then, Ryan has owned his foot fetish. He has even gone as far as to call himself a “toe expert.”

Kansas City Chiefs Losing

Kadarius Toney’s offsides penalty was costly. Before the call, TE Travis Kelce made an unbelievable lateral pass to Toney, who ran it in for a touchdown. However, that memorable moment was called back due to Toney lining up offside.

It is safe to say that the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans were not happy about the call. The Chiefs fell to 8-5 and are further away from the top seed. On top of this, they only lead the AFC West by one game over the Denver Broncos

This is not the first controversial thing Toney has done this season that has led to a big loss. He also had several crucial dropped passes in the season opener against the Detroit Lions. As a result, Kansas City took a surprising loss on the opening night of the 2023 NFL season.

Now, the Chiefs look to bounce back from this. They go on the road to take on the New England Patriots. The Patriots are struggling so much that this game ended up being the first game ever to be flexed out of Monday Night Football.
