Steelers place Maurkice Pouncey on reserve/COVID list ahead of game vs. Ravens

The NFL was adamant about making the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers play this week despite both teams dealing with COVID-19 outbreaks. Now, the game is officially a "go," per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

While both teams are set to take the field, the coronavirus issues have yet to be taken care of. Schefter reports that the Steelers are placing center Maurkice Pouncey on the reserve/COVID list.

Pouncey will join running back James Conner, defensive end Stephon Tuitt and tackle Jerald Hawkins on the list.

Pouncey is in his 10th season with the Steelers, appearing in 131 games for the franchise. He's an eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro. The 31-year-old also was named to the Hall of Fame's All-2010s Team.

With Pouncey out, J.C. Hassenauer likely will take over at center. The 25-year-old has appeared in nine games for Pittsburgh this season.
