Daniel Jones got sacked a bunch on Monday night. In Seattle's 24-3 drubbing, New York's season was sacked, too.
It's time for the Giants to pack it in. They aren't going anywhere.
Monday night was the second embarrassing home outing of the season in as many games for New York. In Week 1, the Giants lost 40-0 to Dallas. Per ESPN, its three points through two home games are the fewest in the NFL in at least 40 seasons.
Jones was sacked a mind-boggling 10 times. New York's weak offensive line was exposed and will continue to be an embarrassment. In Week 1 against Dallas, Jones was pressured on 28 of his 42 dropbacks.
As bad as the offensive line is, it isn't alone in deserving ridicule.
On one of the rare occasions that Jones threw the ball quickly, he made a poor throw that was intercepted by rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon and returned 97 yards for a touchdown.

Head coach Brian Daboll appeared to have lost faith in his quarterback during one sideline exchange that ended with Daboll tossing a tablet and walking away from Jones in disgust.

He didn't mince words afterward as he curtly explained what went wrong for Jones on the pick-six.

New York (1-3) is one miraculous comeback against the Cardinals away from being winless through four weeks. It's been outscored 77-9 in the first half of games this year, which speaks just as poorly on Daboll as on his team.
The Giants are consistently outclassed from the opening kickoff, a sign that whatever Daboll is doing during the week isn't clicking.
Their next two games are at the Dolphins (3-1) and at the Bills (3-1), the latter on Sunday night on Oct. 15. After Monday's game, Jones dropped to 1-12 in his career in primetime.

As bad as New York has been through four weeks, this season will only get worse. It's time to move on to 2024.
