Tom Brady, Gisele purchase home in Miami's exclusive 'billionaire's bunker'

Tom Brady swore off harsh New England winters this week, which might help explain why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and wife Gisele Bundchen plunked down big money to set down roots in one of Miami’s most posh real estate locales.

Brady has been renting Derek Jeter’s 30,000 square-foot, seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom waterfront mansion in the Davis Islands neighborhood in Tampa on a temporary basis.

Now comes word that Brady and Bundchen have plunked down $17 million for property on Indian Creek Island, famously known as “Billionaire’s Bunker.” The exclusive neighborhood boasts mansions owned by Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, supermodel Adriana Lima and Julio Iglesias, among other A-listers and celebrities, per Page Six.

The couple’s plan is to raze the existing home on the property and build a new dream home in its place.

The decision by the super-couple to relocate their family on a more permanent basis — although it merits noting Brady and Bundchen own high-end properties all around the globe — is hardly a surprise. The NFL legend did not hide his disdain this week for the brutal winters he endured during his two-decade run with the New England Patriots.

“It’s amazing just to be at this point in the season,” Brady said Thursday. “And then to still be outside practicing today, [it] turned into a beautiful day, and I know we have a warm one coming up on Sunday.

“So, I always came down to Florida late in the year,” Brady added. “We always played the Dolphins, they were in our conference. It was pretty tough to adjust to. Just being in it really prepares you for the heat, because it definitely takes a toll if you’re not used to it.”
