Zac Taylor Discusses Search for Bengals' Next Offensive Coordinator
Joseph Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

The Bengals' search for a new offensive coordinator started on Monday night when news broke that Brian Callahan would be the next head coach of the Tennessee Titans.

Head coach Zac Taylor discussed the process with Dave Lapham prior to Callahan taking the job. He explained what he'd look for both internally and externally if Callahan left Cincinnati, which obviously happened a few hours later.

"There's great people out there that I know," Taylor told Dave Lapham. "It's my responsibility There's some that I'm interested to know. And also, I have a lot of confidence in the guys that we have in the building. So there's a lot you got to take in and it's not just a clear cut 'this is how we're gonna do it' and move on. There's an interview process that will take place that's very necessary."

Quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher is the favorite for the job, but the Bengals will at least talk with multiple coaches around the league to see what's out there.

Check out Taylor's entire conversation with Lapham here.
