Deadline day is almost here, and Sofyan Amrabat is still without a concrete agreement with Manchester United or any other suitor for that matter. Despite having agreed terms on a personal note with the Premier League giants, Amrabat, who has been subject to loan talk, is yet to see Fiorentina receive a bid for a permanent transfer set in stone, which has so far hampered transfer talk.

Amrabat has not played a single minute of the new season so far under Vincenzo Italiano, thanks to the upsurge of interest nearing the end of the window. However, it remains just an upsurge, without any of the interested sides making a strong offer to turn the tide. In fact, the Viola management has received loan proposals from Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray, which has been turned down outright.

Similarly, there has been talk of Manchester United enquiring about a temporary move as well, in light of Financial Fair Play rules. Fiorentina have made it crystal clear that they would like to see Amrabat part ways permanently.

Erik Ten Hag, who coached Amrabat during his initial professional days at Eredivisie side Utrecht, wishes to sign the Moroccan and is perhaps facing issues convincing the United brass to put forth something convincing.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 star will be out of contract in less than a year. Napoli, Juventus, and Liverpool have also been linked to Amrabat, but it is the Red Devils who are strong favorites to steal his signature.
