A low pressure system and its associated cold front will bring widespread rain and fresh southwesterly breezes to the waters with gale force gusts possible over the southernmost zones. Fresh northwesterly breezes will prevail behind the cold front with scattered rain showers through Sunday, as the low pressure system exits to the east, dry conditions return and the pressure gradient will be allowed to relax, finally allowing winds to diminish below Small Craft Advisory criteria.

Another system is due to hit the west coast Wednesday this week with more surf and wind.
