AEW's Angelico announced today that he suffered a torn ACL and meniscus late last year, but is on the road to recovery.

On Twitter, the TH2 star wrote:

I can confirm the rumors. I suffered a torn ACL and meniscus at the end of 2021. The good news as you can see below, is that my recovery is well ahead of schedule and my return to the ring is just around the corner!

Along with the injury update, Angelico posted a video of his rehab:

Angelico last wrestled at the December 3, 2021 AEW Dark taping at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. After an extensive international career, the South African star has wrestled exclusively for AEW since February 2020.

Both Angelico and The Hybrid 2 teammate Jack Evans have been with AEW since its inaugural event, the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in May 2019. Angelico and Evans lost to Best Friends (Trent Beretta & Chuck Taylor) on that show.
