Bron Breakker did not get any heat from WWE for Rick Steiner‘s alleged transphobic comments, according to a new report.

Gisele Shaw previously accused Steiner of making transphobic comments toward her at the WrestleCon convention, and others in attendance backed up her accusations.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Steiner’s comments did not cause heat from WWE towards Breakker, but Steiner cost himself any chance of the company using him for “quite some time.”

Sapp also cited WWE sources who noted that there was no consideration of holding Breakker responsible for his father’s actions, and there had been no character issues with the NXT star.

Breakker recently stated that Steiner’s comments were not a reflection of him. Click here to see what he had to say.

Breakker remains featured on NXT; he unsuccessfully challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the June 20 episode of WWE NXT.
