The 49ers on Tuesday announced the release of safety Jarrod Wilson. Wilson played in four games during the regular season with San Francisco and saw action in their postseason opener in Dallas.
Add a couple more to the 49ers’ list. On Monday, the team both wide receiver Mohamed Sanu and safety Tavon Wilson on the injured reserve list, per an announcement from head coach Kyle Shanahan.
When the 49ers signed veteran Tavon Wilson this offseason, he wasn’t intended to be a starter. But there’s a chance he steals a first-team job in 2021.
